My name is Jason Pass, owner and managing director of LUX Interior and I would like to tell you a little about my background and the history of my company…
…With a passion for design, I studied Foundation Level Art at North Staffordshire University and graduated from De Montford University in 1992 with a Degree in Interior Design.
Interior Design Projects Across Macclesfield
Following university, I began my career as part of a team designing pubs and restaurant interiors for the Whitbread brewery. From 1994, my second role was as an Illustrator for a kitchen showroom in Stoke-On-Trent, creating hand drawn artist impressions of the kitchens being designed in the studio. From here, I worked in various kitchen and bathroom showrooms before deciding to take the plunge, and in 1999 I opened my very own kitchen showroom on Chestergate in Macclesfield.
This first business was called “A Touch of Class,” and part of a chain of showrooms with that name; it was set up as a partnership with “Arthur Bonnet”, a well-known and established French manufacturer of kitchens and bathroom furniture. In 2005, I bought out the franchise, beginning a new company within the same premises, and with the name “LUX Interior.”
Introducing Luxury Kitchen Brands
Appointing new suppliers, “Aster” kitchens from Italy and “Schuller” kitchens from Germany, I was one of the first displaying showrooms in this country for both prestigious brands. I also began a close working relationship with “Traditional Design,” a local company making handmade kitchens, who gave me the opportunity to supply a truly bespoke handcrafted kitchen product.
During my time at Chestergate, kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms formed the majority of my work, however I also had the occasional opportunity to design other projects as well, most notably the “Shapla” Tandoori restaurant in Leek, the “Amuse” cafe in Macclesfield, and more recently, the “Red Willow” bar in Macclesfield.
Lux Interior Today
Today, Lux Interior is a thriving business, and enjoys a great reputation across Macclesfield and the wider area. In fact, whilst many other kitchen showrooms in Macclesfield have come and gone over the last twenty years, Lux Interior is now one of the oldest remaining but also one of the most well-established. We welcome many customers coming back to us time and again, and we have gratefully received many referrals from customers who have shared our name among their friends and family. I believe this is largely down to the very personalised, detailed service I offer from beginning to end, and because I will always try and go the extra mile to give people the very best possible kitchen I can in line with what they wish to achieve.
